The name of this boy was Kaboo and he belonged to an African tribal Kru community.
There were frequent fights between the neighboring tribes. One of the tribes defeated his tribe and took him with them as a hostage and demanded his father to pay a huge ransom. Those tribals use to torture him through various means by beating him with poisonous vines etc. One day when he was going to get whipped by them he saw a bright light shining and a voice said, “run kaboo” and his wounds were healed and he ran with all his might.
He went further deep in the jungles and then he found out a plantation yard owned by white foreigners and he went inside he saw a native Kru boy and asked him whether he could work there with him and he helped him get a job.
Then he saw that the kru boy kneeling on and praying then he asked him what was he doing and he replied that I’m talking to God and he is my Father. Then he invited him the next Sunday to church and then he came over and attended the meeting. At that time Mrs. Gnolls was preaching about the light that Paul saw while leading to Damascus. After hearing this kaboo replied that I’ve seen that light and thereon kaboo gave his life to Jesus and they gave him a new name Samuel Morris. And Mrs Gnolls started to disciple him. And he asked her that where had she learned from and she replied from a seminary in New York under Mr. Stephen Merritt. And the he made up his mind to go to New York. He tried many times to get in the goods ship and to set sail to another faraway land. After many diligent attempts his hard work paid off. He finally boarded a train going all the way there. He was very patient and calm throughout his journey.
He finally got to the port harbour of New York and he inquired whether anyone knew Mr Stephen Merritt. Someone agreed but asked him for a dollar. He said Mr Stephen will pay the bill for him. He reached his final destination and he paid his dollar bill. He was taken in for the seminary and he was given certain training and thereby he also displayed passion for the word of God and he was used in ministering to many people and during g the time of a meeting almost all the people were stirred up and touched by his zeal and passion for the poor, sick and the needy. Mr Stephen saw his skills and was impressed by him and he was given much responsibilities and then they all were amazed at the way the lord was using this boy. One day on a snowy day he went out to preach and continue gospel work he went without his coat and he became seriously ill that day and then he was shivering in cold and then he was taken to the doctor and then finally he died with a look of joy and peace on his face.
